Physics C The "LAST PHYSICS CLASS------ This will be a combination of reviewing, projects, and independent work
Week #1 Vectors
Day # 1------ Pre Test
Day # 2------ Review of Vectors do problems in class, these will be concurrent problems, and problems that need to be solved graphically
Week #2 and Week 3and 4
Day # 3------ We will also work on Physics Boat and river problems
Day #4-------- Physics River Problems quiz, then do a physics classroom worksheet
Day # 5------- More work over vecots
Day # 6 ------ Quiz over Vectors
Week #3 One Dimensional Motion
Week #5-----------
Day #1----- Go over the acceleration problems that we did in class do a lab where we calculate the acceleration of a car down an incline plane. Where you calculate the acceleration of this car------ This will give us all the acceleration rates of the car. Once we do 5 of these then we will begin graphing the acceleriaotn rate of the car by taking Velocity over time.
Day # 2------ Work with Velocity versus time graphs-------- Where if we take the slope of the line we will get the average acceleration but the tangent of the line will give us the Instantaneous velocity.
Day # 3------ We will know go vertical and start doing some free fall problems----- Where the formulas are still the same but the acceleration is 9.8 m/s squared you will also get a study guide for Friday's Quiz.
Day #4---------- Review the Study Guide from Wednesday then we will do a lab over the free fall of an object.
Day #5------ Quiz over free fall and acceleration.
Week #6---
Day #1---- More work over cliff problems---- Where an object is dropped, thrown downwards and also thrown upwards..
Day #2---- More work over cliff problems
Day #3-4 No school Snow days
Day #5----- Students worked on a free fall paper
Week #7---------- We worked on Paper roller coaster
Week # 8
Day #1----- Work on 2-D cliff problems where we launch a ball off a cliff to calculate the range of where it will land------ Students will do a lab where they predict where the ball will hit when it is launched off a table.
Day #2----- More 2-D material where a ball is thrown at an angle where we calculate how high an object goes, the time and the speed of this object
Day #3----- Quiz over the 4 types of free fall problems
Day #4---- Begin going over F=ma where we calculate the acceleration of an object based on its net force.
Day #5----- Calculate the net force of an object going down a hill
Week 9-11 Torque problems----- We also worked on Making a mobile for torque
Week #12 We will work on Electrostatics This week---
Day #1------ We will work on Coulomb's Law and the force that an object feels when it is acted upon------- There will be work on working with a balloon of a given mass and the force that it feels when it is levitated.
Day #2------ We will work on the force that a balloon feels when it is held at an angle and the amount of force that it feels.
Day #3------ We will work on the force that a test force feels when it is placed in an electric field.
Day #4------- We will work on Electric field strength and electric field lines.
Week #13------------ We will work on circuits this week
Week #14----------- We will work on Cardboard boats this week
Day #11-------- Work on 2 dimensional motion problems
Day # 12----- Lab quest over 2 dimensional motion
Day # 13------ Working on A Virtual Roller coaster
Day # 14------- Working on a virtual Roller Coaster
Day # 15------- Working on a Virtual Roller coaster
Week # 4 Forces and Newton's Laws of Motion
Week # 5 Work and Energy
Week # 6 Impacts and Linear Momentum
Week #7 Torque
Week #8 Oscillatory Motion
Week #9 Gravitation
End of Sememster 3
Week # 10 Fluids
Week #11 Thermodynamics
Week #12 Electrostatics
Week # 13 Electric Circuits
Week # 14 Magnetism
Week # 15 Electromagnetic Induction
Week # 15 Waves and Sound
Week # 16 Light
Week # 17 Quantum Theory
