Day #8---------- Explain the role of sex chromosomes in sex determination, How sex linkage affects the inheritance of traits, Work on Sex linked worksheet
Day #9--------- Chromsome mapping and mutations
Day #10------ Sex Linked Traits
Day #11------ Quiz over Sex linked grades and transcription
WEEK 5
Day #12----- We will be going going over mutations in chromosomes---- we will go over the quiz that we took Friday then going over a frameshift mutation
Day #13----- I will be out of the classroom---- you will be working on three worksheets from chapter 10----- Each of these worksheets are worth 5 points apiece and are due on Thursday at the end of class----- all work will be done in the classroom
Day #14----- You will be going to the library and doing a library assignment on sex linked diseases
Day #15----- You will be finishing up the work in the library and the worksheets in the classroom THESE ARE DUE AT THE END OF CLASS
Day #16----- We will be going over the different mutations which can occur on a gene and drawing a picture of these----- NEXT WEEK WE BEGIN ECOLOGY
Week #6 Ecology
Day #17----- Provide Examples of population, communities, biomes, ecosystems, and species Do Both Ecosystems worksheet then do a cut and paste activity where you cut out a picture of an ecosystem and tell me the communities, populations, and organisms found in this ecosystem----- Remember there are many types of ecosystems
Day #18------ Section 19-2 in the book----- Abiotic and Biotic factors, Tolerance Curves, Adaptations that allow organisms to avoid unfavorable conditions, Concept of a niche, fundamental niche versus the realized niche.
Day #19------- Take a quiz over niche, abioitc, habitat and niche--------- For this day you will draw a picture of your habitat----- Describe as many things as you can find in your habitat both living and non living----- Your resources that you need determine the habitat that you live in------ For example an organism that is fond of the outside will not be able to survive in the house and an organism that is inside will not have the resources to live outside. After that you will describe a typical day in your niche----------- WHAT DO YOU DO----- FOR EXAMPLE---- YOU HAVE REALLY FOUND YOUR NICHE-----
Day #20------ Go over the study Guide then do a webbing activity over the weekly materials.
Day #21------ Quiz over the Weekly material then we will take a quiz and begin Chapter 21

Day #27------- Quiz review for populations---- Begin covering Community Ecology and section 21-1 in the text--- predator-Prey, Mimicry, parasitsim and Mutualism and commensalism.
Day #28 ----- Go over the study guide over populations, then do some more work over Tuesday's Materials.
Day #29--- Quiz over populations Then begin going over primary and secondary succession.
Day #30 More work over primary and Secondary Succession.
Week #9-----
